With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Margaret Cowie, born Mary Margaret Mulhall, to Bill and Sarah Mulhall, on December 15, 1936, in The Pas, MB. Mary passed away on November 10, 2022, at the age of 85 years, in Saskatoon, SK.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Garth Cowie, her sister Patsy, and her children Cheryl (Darryl), Rob, and Leanne (Brian). Her grandchildren Kaitlyn, (Rob and Angie), Alexa and Carter, (Leanne and Brian). Mary is predeceased by her brothers Mike and Bill, and sisters Norah and Theresa.
Mary graduated from St Boniface Hospital as an R.N. Her profession took her many places, including Thompson, MB., where she started her career, various places throughout the prairies, and to Hawaii where she retired. After retiring, she returned to Clearwater Lake, MB.
Thompson is where she met the love of her life and after a whirlwind romance, they were married June 4, 1960.
Mary’s greatest love has always been her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, entertaining and a glass of wine. Mary also enjoyed the outdoors; boat rides, exploring the lake, snowmobiling and picnics.
