It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved dad at the age of 90. Merle was born and raised in Hanley, SK. He then moved to Saskatoon where he met and married Darlene, his wife of 60 years in 1957.
He was in the Army Reserves which he was very proud of. He worked for the government for 30 years, the majority of those years he was working at the School for the Deaf.
He was predeceased by his wife Darlene, his parents Alfred and Edna Beaumont and his brothers Erwin and Lloyd.
He is survived by his sister Joyce(George) Leonard.
His adventurous life will always be remembered in the lives of his three children Pat(Kevin Vandale) Beaumont, Brad Beaumont, and Terri(Jim) Ayotte, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
His Joys in life were spending time with the family, whether it was handing out gifts at Christmas, time at the lake, playing cards, watching movies or helping him finish jigsaw puzzles. He spent every moment enjoying it all.
Dad’s big heart drew in many people, Those who knew him knew there was no lack of laughter, jokes and stories to tell and that the coffee was always on.
We will forever miss him.
Our deepest thanks go out to all the staff at Parkridge Centre for the amazing love and care dad received.
At dad’s request there will be no formal service. A private family celebration will be held at a later time.
