Micheline Wanda Bauer (Mich)

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our mom, Micheline Wanda Bauer who was born on August 23, 1962, in Haileybury Hospital but lived in Gowganda until 1973, then moved and grew up in North Bay, Ontario before coming to Saskatoon, Sk. 

Mich peacefully passed away on July 11, 2024, at Glengarda (hospice), in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 61, with her daughters by her side.

Mom was diagnosed with Stage 4, Metastatic Small Cell Lung Cancer on June 7, 2024, before she lost her battle with cancer. 

Mich had such a huge heart. She continually put everyone ahead of herself her entire life. She was a selfless woman. Mom loved each and every one unconditionally, along with no judgment, but she really had a soft spot for her eight grandchildren. She truly was the glue to our family. We all have so many fond memories of Mom, including all the delicious meals, homemade bread and bakings, camping trips, and so much more. 

Mich will always be remembered by her huge heart, funny face expressions, the love she shared, the shoulder to lean on, and all the hugs and kisses. She truly had the kindest soul! 

She will be forever missed. 

Mich leaves to celebrate her memory: Her Daughters; Christal, Carrie(Mike), Tabitha(Chris), Micheala(Adian), the father of her children Howard, along with 8 grandchildren; Ciara, Ellie, Mallory, Kian, Odin, Astraea, Autumn, and Alaia. Mom will also be missed by many of her other family, including sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her friends. 

The family would also like to thank the team on the palliative care unit at Royal University Hospital and the team at Hospice at Glengarda for all of their kindness and dedicated care for mom. We truely appreciate everything you've done to keep her comfortable.

At our Mom’s request no funeral service, or viewing will be held, but a small potluck gathering will be held at a later date for immediate family and a few selected close friends at Mom’s request.
