Mona Lee Lasas

It is with saddened hearts that we announce Mona Lee Lasas passed away on Friday, March 28th, 2025, in Waterhen Lake First Nation, at the age of 46 years old.

She was kind, caring, loving, and beautiful.

She loved all her nieces and nephews, and all her grandchildren. Always greeting family with “how are the babies?” She had a good sense of humor, Mona loved to bake and cook for family and friends, and everybody loved this.

Mona is forever loved and will be remembered by her sisters Barbara Lasas, Patricia (Marcel) Bear, Melina (Rusty) Lasas, Lisa (Howard) Chatelaine, Joanne Martell, Elizabeth (Max) Aubichon, Vivian Martell, and Judy Fiddler; her brothers Wayne Lasas, Carl Lasas, Alcide (Mary Jane) Martell, Marvin Martell, Donald (Annette) Martell, Schuyler Crookedneck, and Vernon Lasas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Mona was predeceased by her parents Edwin Martell and Victoria Lasas; sister Donna Martell; grandparents Bruno and Judile Martell & Basil and Marie Lasas; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

Wake Service will commence Wednesday, April 2, 2025, 3:00 p.m., at Waterhen Lake Community Building, Waterhen Lake, SK. 

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, 12:00 p.m., at Waterhen Lake Community Building, Waterhen Lake, SK. Interment to follow.
