Normand Joseph Bonsant

April 26, 1937 — August 25, 2024

It is with broken hearts that we have to say goodbye to our beloved Normand on August 25th, 2024. Our husband, father, friend, grandfather, our rock.

Normand was born in St. André, NB. He worked for Thompson Nickel mine for 10 years, following that he bought his own business in Creighton, SK. Normand retired to Saskatoon, where he met the love of his life, Lorraine (nee Bartusek) in 1984 and they had 39 years together.

Normand is survived by his 3 Stepchildren; Trevor (Carla), Gina and Tamzen (Rory), 3 Step Grandchildren; Aulden, Owen and Niles, who he loved like his own, and they loved him deeply. He is also survived by his Brother; Albeo (Ramonde), Sisters; Noella, Yolande, Martha, Jeannine and Jeanne (Edgar), Sister-in-law; Darlene Lappa. Along with several nieces and nephews.

He also had a daughter and son, along with several grandchildren from a previous relationship.

He was predeceased by his Parents; Charles and Aurare, Sister; Yvette and Brother; Ron.

Norm liked driving very fast cars, boats and ski doo’s – they could never go fast enough. Normand and Lorraine spent many winters in Texas, Hawaii and Dominican Republic.

Normand was a giver, and some took from him until the day he died.

Martens Warman is honoured to be entrusted with Normand’s care.
