Phuoc Thanh Hong

November 21, 1932 — February 5, 2024

Phuoc was born in Saigon City in Vietnam in 1932.  His career grew into that of a very influential businessman until the Vietnam War began.  In 1982 he and his family moved to Canada to begin a new life here.   Although life in a new country was not easy, Phuoc loved Canada, and learned English by taking classes.  He enjoyed going to church, visiting with friends, reading, and playing music (especially guitar and harmonica).  He will be greatly missed by his family who will remember him fondly.  He is survived by:  His wife, To Nu Thach, His Children: Vinh (Van) Hong, Chuu (Duc) Do, Minh Hong (Kinh Mach), John Hong (Diem Nguyen), Tom (Faye) Hong, Kim (Cindy) Hong, His Grandchildren and Great grandchildren: David and Lisa Hong, Tina and Kathy Do, Anh Hong (David), Sierra and Colby Chuchmuch, Tusha Hong (Steven) and Bennett Kwok, Jimmy Hong (Rong Wang), Aria and Dylan Hong, Teri Hong, Jay, Adrienne, Angeline, and Josh Hong, Jason and Madison Hong, Meagan and Ethan Hong.  A graveside memorial service will be held to honor Phuoc’s memory with close family.
