With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Raymond George Kneeland, on December 19, 2022, at the age of 80 years.

Raymond was born in Castor, Alberta and raised on a dairy farm North of Stettler, Alberta. He knew from a young age that all he wanted to be was a cowboy. He bought his very first saddle in 1962, and that was the start of his lifelong passion with horses. He started his Cattle Hoof Trimming business in 1970, travelling the country trimming, and most importantly, meeting people. He lived by the mantra “find something you love doing, and you will never work another day in your life”

Raymond was known for bringing people together, and he rarely met a person that did not become a fast friend. He built his acreage up to host a multitude of events, including High School Rodeos, College Rodeos, PFRA Rodeos, Gymkhanas, weddings, & Dine & Dances with proceeds donated to his biggest passion, fundraising for Telemiracle.

Raymond is survived by his daughters Khristina (Kevin) Bratlien, Coralie Ready, son Scott Kneeland, and grandchildren Michael, Steven, Samantha, Leanne, Trevor, Evan, his sisters Maxine (Will) Rehman, Dianne (Lorne Proctor) Ransom, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all his 4-H “kids” that became family.

A drop-in Celebration of Life will be held on January 7, 2023, at 1:00 North Ridge Centennial Center, 901 3rd Street North, Martensville. Memorial donations can be made to Telemiracle.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Kneeland.
