With heartfelt sadness, we announce that Ray passed away peacefully at St. Paul’s Hospital in the arms of his loving wife Iris of 58 years, on June 11, 2022.
Left to mourn his passing and remember his legacy of love are his wife Iris, loving son Darren, daughter-in-law Vicki; grandchildren Darcy (Chantel) and Orion (Sherri) and 5 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his brothers Don, Ron (Dorothy), Clarence (Sheron), Wayne, sister-in-law Jeannine, brother-in-law Randy (Sandra); sister-in-law Shirley (Wally), sister-in-law Penny; and his special nieces and nephews.
Ray was predeceased by his parents Leo and Verla; brothers Ed and Arnie; sister-in-law Denyse; nephew Darryl; also, his in-laws John and Francis Bodnar, Billy and Peter Bodnar, Adeline Ewaniuk-Bodnar and nephew Gary Redl.
Ray’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff on the 4th Floor of St. Paul’s Hospital. Your kindness and exceptional care made Ray’s journey easier to bear.
Memorial Service for Ray will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, in the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 535 8th Street East, Saskatoon. Lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
