With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Robert Mantyka, at the age of 73 years, on September 24th, 2022.

Robert Mantyka farmed for 40 years in the Alvena district and retired in 2015. Apart from farming he enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the lake and passing time at the farmers market. Robert loved to laugh, joke around and be outdoors. Most of the time you didn’t know if he was being serious or funny – that was just the way Robert was.

Robert retired in Vonda and then moved to Warman in 2019. He passed away on September 24th, 2022, at RUH Hospital in Saskatoon. He leaves to mourn his very good friends, Diane Bodnar (her children Cory & Jill + their children); Leona and Eddie Gilecki, his two daughters Chrystal Mantyka-Pringle (Matt – Aurora & River) & Roseline Mantyka, his brother Ray Mantyka (Dianne) and sister Sally Maruschak and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents, William & Helen Mantyka, brother-in-law Morris Maruschak and his spouse Betty Morrissey (survived by her children Bridgit Morrissey, Pamela Cleveland and Patricia Carswell + family). He will be missed by his extended family, many friends, and neighbors.

Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Ukranian Catholic Church, Vonda, SK, on Friday, September 30th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Celebrated by Fr. André Lalach. Lunch to follow the Celebration.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted for the care of Mr. Mantyka.
