Sharon Wawryk

It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Wawryk announces her passing on January 10, 2023. Sharon is survived by her husband Len Wawryk, daughter Lindsay Wawryk (granddaughters Kendall, Leighton, Saige, and Alex) son Matthew Wawryk (wife Megan and granddaughters Thora and Freya), her mother Ila Robin, siblings Jackie Labbe, Marcel Robin, and John Robin, and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was predeceased by her father Victor Robin.
Sharon was born and raised in Nipawin, SK. The family farm was near Codette. She received her BA and BEd from the University of Saskatchewan and went on to teach in the Catholic school system for 36 years until her retirement in 2004. Sharon and Len were married on July 12, 1969 and raised their children in Saskatoon.
Sharon enjoyed summers at the lake, spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, ski trips, traveling, playing games, and winters in Arizona. She also loved quality time with her six granddaughters, going on walks, colouring, doing crafts and baking with them.
It gives us comfort that we had the opportunity to have this special person in our lives. We will keep close the memories that we shared with her.
We would like to thank the many doctors, caregivers, and nurses who provided Sharon care at home and at hospice.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Spirit Parish (114 Kingsmere Pl, Saskatoon, SK) at 10:30am on Saturday January 21, 2023 followed by a celebration.
