Stanley Keith O'Dell

November 3, 1956 — February 6, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stan on February 6, 2024, at the age of 67 years. Stan was born November 3, 1956, and grew up in Hanley, SK.

Stan was a hard worker, he had numerous jobs over his lifetime, roofing, working in a grain elevator, truck driving, line worker in a meat processing plant, just to name a few.

Stan lived in Saskatoon for a while, then moved to Edmonton. He lived there until he retired, then he moved back to Hanley, where he lived until he suffered a stroke and had to move to Saskatoon, until his passing.

Stan loved fishing, animals, watching Sci-Fi and the History channels on tv, he collected movies, putting together 1000-piece puzzles. He really enjoyed visiting with family, neighbors, and friends in Hanley.

Stan had a great sense of humour; we had some good laughs with him. He was a quiet and caring person and would help anyone if he could.

Stan is survived by his brothers Gordon (Jacquie) and Walter (Carolyn); sister Betty (Steve); sisters-in-law Gertie and Lynett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Alice and Leonard O’Dell; brothers Milton and Howard; sister Hazel; brother-in-law Joe; nephew Lennard; and niece Rhonda.

We would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses and Social Workers at Royal University Hospital (ICU Flex 4), for all of the wonderful care they gave Stan, during his time in ICU.

A special thank you to our friends in Hanley, who looked in on Stan and helped him out when he was living there.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Hanley, SK.

Martens Warman Funeral Home is honored to be trusted with care and arrangements for Stanley O’Dell.
