Share your Memorial with Family & Friends
On Wednesday May 17th, 2023, at the age of 93, Steve went to be with his Lord and Savior with his loved ones by his side. He will be dearly missed. Steve was predeceased by his parents John and Eva, brother Mike, sister Kate, brother Dempsey, and sister Mary. Steve leaves behind his sister Olga, and many nieces and nephews and their families. Steve grew up on the family farm near Lizard Lake, Sask. Before moving to Sonningdale, Saskatchewan. Steve took over the family farm and had a long career of farming with his brother Dempsey until he retired. Long after leaving the farm, Steve enjoyed growing fruits and vegetables in his garden and often helped other family members grow a garden of their own. If there was an unknown plant growing in your yard, Steve was able to identify it for you. He was a true farmer through and through. Steve lived a simple life, always taking care of his family first. Steve enjoyed going for coffee with his friends, and was very independent right until the end. He was well looked after by his neighbors and church family as they assisted him around his house to keep him at home until his passing. Steve was a long time member of his church, Fairmont Baptist, and had many friends there. Steve left this world at ease knowing that his salvation was secure. Steve will be missed by all and touched many lives in his life. Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon (please meet at the front gates at 9:45 a.m.).
