Tina Kay (Hein) Oxley passed away with family by her side, on January 31, 2025. She was born on October 25, 1931, to Peter and Katherina Hein, in the Osler, SK. area.
Kay attended Altona School and went on to become a Nursing Care Aide. She worked at several places in that capacity, starting at the Saskatoon Sanitorium, then on to Edmonton, Red Deer, and finally to Winchester, Indiana.
It was there she met the love of her life, Orvan Oxley, and they were married on June 29, 1974. They spent many happy years together on their acreage, with a huge yard and garden to tend to. After Orvan’s passing, she moved back to Saskatoon in 2002, residing at Bethany Manor.
When health and mobility issues occurred, she moved to Cedar Gardens Care Home in 2023.
Kay is survived by her stepdaughters Connie Rivera and Ramona Gully & their families, all in the United States; sister Helen (Bob) Heinrichs of Winnipeg; sister Anne Berg, brother Ed Hein, sister Elsie (Alf) Bisschop, sister-in-law Bonnie Hein, all of Saskatoon; sister-in-law Olive Hein of Calgary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Katherina Hein, husband Orvan, sister Mary (Cornie) Loewen; brothers Dave (Mary) Hein, Dick Hein, and Corney Hein.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Cedar Gardens for the wonderful, loving care she received there, and to the great staff at St. Paul’s Hospital in her final days.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman, SK.
