Vera Hansen

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Vera Hansen at the age of 84 years. Vera was born March 13, 1937 and passed on July 15, 2021.

Vera passed away peacefully at the Warman Mennonite Special Care Home, her residence of the last few years. Vera was born in Denmark, youngest daughter of Arnold and Christa (nee Larsen) Sørensen.

She had a varied professional career in Denmark; installing accounting machines in offices, teaching piano & gym in Finland, and working as a rehabilitation physiotherapist.  In 1980 she moved to Hague,SK to settle on a farm with her husband and family. Her husband Carsten preceded her in death in 2015.

Vera is survived by her children Hanne, Anders, Hans and Sam (formerly Maud) and beloved grandchildren Oscarin, Linda, Edward, Phoenix and Gloria.

We wish to thank the caring staff at Warman Mennonite Special Care Home for their care for Mom these last few years.

A memorial service will be held at Martens Warman Funeral Home, 402 Central Street West, Warman on Monday, July 26 at 11:00 am.
