Wendy Lynn Demerais

May 28, 1955 — March 21, 2023

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Wendy Lynn Demerais, on March 21st, 2023, at the age of 67 years.

Wendy was known for her giant, heartwarming, mischievous smile and kind heart. It was shared with anyone she came across. It really came in handy when she was babysitting and when she was the greeter at Superstore in Prince Albert. She loved being with people and was more than willing to lend a helping hand.

Over the years she volunteered working many bingos for the Legion and the Elks, selling poppies, working food booths, and more. Wendy loved her family and friends with her whole heart. It never mattered who you were, or if you just met, she would be your biggest cheerleader. She loved going on road trips, playing darts, watching dance recitals and soccer games, playing crib and puzzling. Wendy was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her children: Kerry (Mike) Perron, Justin (Jackie) Demerais and Melanie (Cam) Harms; her precious grandchildren: Madison, Chloe and Mya Harms, Alex Perron, Linden and Peyton Demerais; her siblings, Alfred, Robert (Carol), David, Roland (Monica), Carole Peterson, Ivan (Marylie), Karen (Tom) Lloyd, Colin (Shelly); Bill’s siblings: Fay (Dennis) Leonard, Ken (Mavis), Clive, Maureen (Ken) Konkin, Doug (Linda), George (Margaret), Elaine Walker, Sid (Beatrice), (Vern) Becker, Lyle (Angela), Lisa; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Wendy was predeceased by her husband, Bill Demerais; parents, Georg & Karla Svendsen, her in-laws, Louis & Ethel Demerais; brothers-in-law, Dennis Demerais, Larry Peterson; sisters-in-law, Helen Svendsen, Verla Becker; and nephews, Kevin Svendsen, Shawn Leonard, Nathan Svendsen and Daniel Hope.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at St. Alban’s Anglican Cathedral, 1410 Bishop Mclean Crescent, Prince Albert, SK. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Wendy’s service will be available online via livestream https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/71511
