William (Bill) Norman Stubbs was born at his family’s farm in Spruce Home, Saskatchewan on November 22, 1936, and passed away in his sleep at the age of 86 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Bill worked hard all his life in a variety of jobs ranging from an engineer on CN Rail to selling knitting machines. Bill loved construction. He built many swimming pools throughout Saskatchewan and was always ready to help friends and family with any construction projects across North America. He also volunteered to build Kingdom Halls including the first unofficial “quick build” in Sept-Îles, Québec in 1977.
Bill loved fishing and barbequing at Waskesiu; playing Canasta; and world travel. He was always a very generous host who loved people and sharing some laughs together over a great meal. He served as an elder in the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for decades and loved the ministry.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Sonia, children Dinah (Regan) Buhl and Christopher (Dawn) Stubbs. Bill is also survived by his grandchildren Hillary (Christian) Nicolás-Flores, Aidan Stubbs and Nina (Kyle) Glass; as well as, great-granddaughter Stella Nicolás-Flores, sister Betty Peterson, sister-in-law Edie Stubbs and brother-in-law Herb Jennings.
