Willy passed away at home in Watrous on Mar. 10, 2025. Willy was first & foremost a "people person". He went for coffee to The Spa at Manitou Beach & would meet people from Manitoba, Saskatchewan (La Ronge to Regina) etc.
He would come home & tell me I met people from—-but could not remember names most of the time. He loved me (Betty), his kids & his grandkids. Then came golf, hockey (Edmonton Oilers), baseball (Toronto Blue Jays) & of course music. When we met in the Yukon, he was lead guitarist in a band. Then later in life got himself a Keyboard which he loved to play & played at many Seniors Residences in the area. All his music ability was by ear (he could not read a note). We also travelled a lot for sons & grandsons hockey besides Local Senior & some Saskatoon Blades games. His pride was his Mission School hockey team in Whitehorse. His outgoing personality appealed to young & old alike. He was a skilled carpenter. For many years he worked for Everall Construction, a road construction company In Alberta.
He leaves an empty space for many but will always be remembered for his silly antics.
